Magician-Chef KEVIN  MATSUDA does sleight of hand and very tasty Teppanyaki cooking at "MUSASHI" the top-rated HYATT REGENCY Restaraunt.  (You must call and request to be seated at Matsudas' table).  Matsuda is glib and does everything from sponge work to pasteboards while cooking.  He even flips a whole rising card pack with his spatula.  Cards spin in space over the grill and yes, Cups & Balls & Sponge bunnies!  Teppanyaki seating is on the hour from 5:30 to 9:30.  Tip: If you are local, there are Kama'aina specials that are NOT on the menu. Just ask! ZUKES' MAGIC & JOKES (Palama/Liliha area in Honolulu)

  JIMMY ZUKEMURA is known to everyone here as "Zuke", (pronounced "Zukey").  His Shop is actually their former Mom & Pop style neighborhood neighborhood grocery store before they retired and went to general magic exclusively.  The store opens ONLY on Saturdays from about 9 to 5 pm, but they are on retirees' time so call first before coming!

  "ZUKES'" (as we all call it,) is also host to Hawaii's SYM young Magicians' club, and a general Saturday hangout for local prestidigitators picking up supplies.  Phone (808) 847-7788

   From an idea by YONA CHOCK. Throughout 2006, the HAWAII I.B.M. will give FREE 60 minute Lessons for magic enthusiasts of all ages.  Anyone with a sincere interest can take these introductory classes, which feature different tricks every month.  (Children under 18 must be accompanied by adult).   Lessons start at 6:00 p.m. with our actual club meeting to follow at 7:00. After the mini-lesson, you may attend an actual meeting which features magic news, members performing, and a monthly program.
